I am an independent music teacher, teaching piano, beginning guitar and ukulele, voice, and organ. I have been teaching piano for over 40 years, enjoying every minute of my time.
I believe that music is inherent in our beings, built into us by the fact that we have a heart that beats and a voice that can change pitch. Music is one of the few studies that uses both sides of the brain. It is often said that music and math go together – this is most certainly true! It comes into play in many different ways. Taking any type of music lessons is a sure way to ensure that we have people who will appreciate music for decades to come.
When not giving lessons, you can find me at Trinity Lutheran Church where I am the Organist and Director of Music. In addition, I often substitute at Vermillion High School and accompany many various local musical productions and recitals.
Feel free to contact me about lessons at christys.pianostudio (at) gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
